Celeste Ingrams

I presented a drawing performance via zoom in a drawing interaction with a film I had made – which was of myself in a drawing performance responding to myself in a drawing performance – a lockdown echo chamber of a drawing conversation with myself via zoom – performed live in the session.

I found it really satisfying to take the risks in sharing a work in progress which opened up a new sense of possibility and future for the work and what it meant in my practice – it helped me understand it more through feeling engaged with and supported in that way.

Receiving feedback when there has been some trust established helps me feel more open and energised to create and experiment – if given in the right way it can help see things in a new light – make new connections, which can bring things alive more for my work and practice.
